I bought my cmeraa a little over a year ago. It was my first digital cmeraa, and I was very happy with it at the time. Recently, though, the lens got stuck, and the LCD screen said lens error'. I followed the instructions which said to take out the batteries for a day, and put them back in. That trick worked for a few days, but then it got worse. Now, the lens is totally stuck and I can't do anything with the cmeraa.I called their customer service area, and was able to get them to tell me it could cost $80 to $120 to repair #could not get a free repair since the 1-year warranty had lapsed#. I then checked with a local authorized dealer who stated it would cost around $100 to repair.So, needless to say, instead of getting it fixed, I am just going to shop around for a new one. Why pay to fix this, and possibly have it happen again, when I can just buy a new one, for possibly less money. Live and learn, live and learn .
