Best 5 Reasons For Purchasing Sapphire Jewellery

by John S Stewart
Globe Jewellery Ltd

My Introduction.

Sapphire jewellery including sapphire eternity rings and sapphire engagement rings, earrings, pendants and much, much more, have and always will be available in all the usual gemstone shapes, clarity, and quality of cut. But surely the largest variations in any of its qualities are that of colour, whereby it is available in intrinsically all colours found except that of red. The sapphire will always be towards the top of peoples lists for purchasing jewellery.

This gemstone has famously adorned many different famous and Royal peoples throughout all time, and indeed continues to do so through these present times.

It does not matter what type of sapphire jewellery you wish to purchase, you will be sure to have a fantastic choice from which to choose.

My 5 Great Reasons.

1. Hardness.

This gemstone offers a greater degree of resistance to breakage and scratches etc, compared to that of some other gemstones available, because it is the second hardest of gems known to man along with that of ruby. It is second only to diamond on the Mohs scale.

2. Anniversary Stone Sapphire.

To celebrate any anniversary celebration for 5th, 45th and 70th years, such as years of marriage or even birthdays, then the sapphire is the gem symbolically linked to these.

3. Sapphire Birthstone.

If say your engagement ring contains sapphire, and you were either born in September or symbolically linked to the Zodiac sign of Cancer, then this association with that of the sapphire, means you will be offered greater luck and protection from evil.

4. Colour.

Although these gems can be found in all colours such as yellow, pink, green, orange and purple, they are most often found and purchased in the blue colour shades. These go from dark-midnight blue, almost black blues known as Australian sapphire, through mid-blue such as Cornflower blue, which is usually the most sought after and valuable, then on to the lighter shades such as Ceylon sapphire. There is also another extremely valuable type known as Padparadscha, showing an orange/pink colour.

5. Legend Of Sapphire.

The stone that is historically thought to nurture faith and truth, as well as joy and wisdom, has been known to be the jewel of the heavens. It helps to remove any evil thoughts from the wearer, as well as offering protection against burns, cancer and inflammation. It also is supposed to help those with impaired hearing!

Conclusion.

The sapphire is still the whole worlds No:1 selling gemstone, and can be more expensive than that of diamonds, although usually, not as much as that of the ruby.

Not only did Prince Charles famously present Lady Diana with a magnificent sapphire cluster ring on their engagement, but Popes once used it to show off their high rank, and even King Solomon used it as his Royal seal. This just emphasises what a truly majestic item it really is, and you should be proud to own and wear it as much as they did!

Any of your jewellery will naturally get soiled with wear over time, but your cherished Sapphire Ring for example, can easily be refurbished back to looking new once again. Just use a soft toothbrush that is immersed in warm and mildly soapy water, and gently scrub to achieve impressive results.

Sapphire Jewellery is certainly not meant to be hidden away from all eyes, so just please make sure you wear it if you are indeed lucky enough to have any.
