If you want to learn how to pause orders in WooCommerce and then resume them again, you can do so with Orderable.
Let’s say you are experiencing an extremely busy period or are unable to process orders for whatever reason. Maybe you can’t accept any more delivery orders, or are experiencing issues preventing customers from collecting their orders.
In these situations, you need to be able to quickly pause and resume delivery/pickup orders either for your entire store, or for individual locations.

To do this, you can use the buttons that are available in the Live Order View and on the Locations page to quickly react based on your situation, and only accept orders when you’re able to fulfill them.
How to pause and resume orders using Orderable
To do this, take the following steps:
- To pause/resume orders for the entire store:
- From your WordPress dashboard, go to Orderable > Live Order View.
- Click on Pause/Resume Delivery – All Locations or Pause/Resume Delivery – All Locations to change your status.
- If you are currently filtering orders by location, the All Locations part of the button labels will change to the name of the chosen location e.g. Pause/Resume Delivery – Oxford Street; clicking the buttons in this context will only change the status for the location you have selected.
- To pause/resume orders for individual locations:
- From your WordPress dashboard, go to Orderable > Locations.
- Click on the Pause/Resume Delivery and Pause/Resume Pickup button next to each location in the list to change the status.
Note: Once you Pause delivery/pickup orders for your store or individual location(s) using these methods, customers will not be able to place orders again until you change the status to Resume, or a new day begins.
