Hello from Orderable HQ. We’ve been working this month to bring you some updates we think you’ll love. We’ve got some new features coming soon, and we want to keep you in the loop. So, give this post a read to see what they are.

Updates to Orderable (Coming soon!)
Self-printing
We’re making some great progress with our upcoming self-printing receipt feature.
You’ll be able to print orders from Orderable as if you’re printing a document from your local machine. You’ll be able to do this using a printer that’s directly connected to the device, or available on the local network.

You’ll also be able to customize the order tickets to suit your needs, using some simple Orderable blocks and commonly used WordPress layout blocks.
As a bonus, several default templates will be available for common use cases such as kitchen tickets, packing slips and delivery tickets.
Delivery provider integration
We’re currently doing the important discovery work required before kicking off the development of this feature with the whole team involved.
We plan on offering integration with Deliveroo, UberEats, DoorDash, GrubHub, and Just Eat/Takeaway.com at launch.

Customers will be able to receive, accept/reject, and cancel orders from within Orderable. To make order management easier, orders will be clearly marked as coming from the respective provider. Store owners will also be able to filter orders by provider.
New Live Order View
We’re doing discovery work with a view to rebuild the Live Order View to make it more desktop, tablet, and mobile friendly. We also want to give you the ability to customize the layout.
We’ll be sharing a consultation survey on this feature in August to gather your feedback. So keep your eyes on your emails for that one.
Product add-ons
We’re looking at how we can improve the product add-ons feature to give customers the ability to mark add-ons as in stock/out of stock. We also want to add the ability for you to manage the inventory levels for each add-on.
This will be one of our priorities after completing the self-printing feature.
Updates to Orderable (maintenance)
Aside from these amazing features coming soon to Orderable, we have recently released a few maintenance and bug fixes over the past month.
These include:
- We’ve fixed a bug affecting customers using the
Listview of the product layout. - Products can no longer be added to the cart when a required add-on has not been selected.
- The location selector no longer appears when there is only a single location in block-based checkouts.
- The checkout no longer reloads when selecting the Pickup service from the location picker.
